Development of ID card system in Laos
The renewal of documents for Laos' approximately 7 million population is an important goal of the state, including the renewal of administrative processes, the development of an IT network and data centers, and the renewal of document production methods.
The digitization of Lao personal documents, the development of their IT background, and the production of documents are among the tasks of Pont Systems.

The system was developed with the following objectives in mind:
•Registration of Lao and non-Lao individuals and households, including information on birth, death, marriage, cohabitation, and place of residence
•ID card application, which includes information on expiration, loss, and card damage in addition to registration data
•Development of a population management database, making it suitable for communication with other government systems
•Management of firearm registration data
•Management of a company information database
The production of the card was carried out in collaboration with the market leader Mühlbauer, which was certified by the Hungarian Banknote Printing House.
After the server room was designed, the handover took place on November 13, 2023. In addition to the network devices, the infrastructure also includes a special data backup system, including the development of future connectivity options due to the easy connectivity of the planned new data centers. A full technical documentation package was also handed over during the handover.
